Royals Hall of Fame Night

We invite you to join us and be in your seat by 6:10 p.m. for a special pre-game ceremony celebrating the Royals Hall of Fame induction of newest member, Alex Gordon. The Royals Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to celebrate the accomplishments of those players, managers, and other personnel who have made exceptional contributions to Kansas City Royals Baseball - and on 2025 Royals Hall of Fame Night presented by Commerce Bank, we'll do just that.
June 13 – Alex Gordon Royals Hall of Fame Induction Celebration
On April 2, 2007, Alex Gordon became just the fourth player to make his MLB debut in a Royals Opening Day starting lineup. It was the start of a historic career in which he was named an All-Star three times and won eight Rawlings Gold Gloves – tied for the most in club history.
He became known for his work ethic and perseverance. Alex came to the big leagues as a top prospect third baseman only later to return to the minor leagues to learn a new position in the best interest of the team. He soon returned and quickly became one of the best left fielders in the game.
His career included one of the seminal moments in Kansas City sports history with his ninth-inning game-tying HR in Game One of the 2015 World Series launching the Royals way to a championship. At the end of his career in 2020, he ranked in the Royals Career Top 10 in hits (6th), doubles (5th), home runs (4th), runs scored (6th); RBI (6th); totals bases (5th); and games played (6th).
Alex is just the sixth position player to play 14 or more seasons for the Royals along with Amos Otis (14; 1970-83), Hal McRae (15; 1973-87), Willie Wilson (15; 1976-90), Frank White (18; 1973-1990) and George Brett (21; 1973-93) – all six are now members of the Royals Hall of Fame.
